Michael Armstrong's short enigmatic fable appears here, in two complete versions. Based on a mime he witnessed as a student during a class at RADA, the first version was written purely as an exercise in maintaining audience involvement in filmic storytelling and character through no more than visual staging, music, sound effects, camera angles and editing. Unlike the second version which he intended for the public and so provided it with a story rationale to give it greater emotional substance. This book also includes a detailed history about the writing of both screen plays with insights into the production and shooting of the second as a film.
